How does hair removal cream work?

Hair removal cream, also known as a depilatory cream, removes hair on the surface of the skin at the strand level. The cream is applied to an area of the body and left to sit until the hair breaks down enough to become a jelly-consistency to wipe and wash off.

How to use Veet® In-Shower Hair Removal Cream

Step One: Patch Test

Ensure you have read the product label and patch tested 24 hours prior to your hair removal routine. If there are no side effects, proceed as normal. Each product comes equipped with instructions and discloses the appropriate amount of waiting time.

Step Two: Apply Hair Removal Cream

Simply apply a thick layer depilatory cream before you hop in the shower. We recommend using the soft side of a sponge as it will help with application. Please be sure to rinse your hand thoroughly after application. Wait around 6 minutes and wipe a little bit away to see if the hair comes away.

Step Three: Wipe Away

Once you’ve checked to see if the hair is ready to come away, wipe away the cream using the rough, coarse, side of the sponge in a circular motion.
